International moving, including export packing and freight services, requires a specialist. The skills necessary to prepare household goods for transfer from one country to another are very different than those required for domestic and local moving. What Is FIDI?

FIDI is the global alliance of professional international moving companies, specializing in moving household goods and personal effects from one country to another, from one continent to another, according to the best quality standards in the industry.

FIDI established through its members the criteria for the FIDI PCG, which has gained even wider global recognition through adoption by the International Association of Movers (IAM) as the standard for excellence in the global relocation.

Held to a Higher Standard

Nelson-Westerberg’s global forwarding division, Westerberg Global Mobility Services, has been a member of both FIDI and IAM since 1990, and as such has committed all Nelson Westerberg agencies throughout the USA to perform to FIDI Professional Cooperation Guidelines.

While many companies will proclaim to be a “PCGS mover”, only members of FIDI are actually audited to these standards through the FAIM (Fidi Accredited International Mover) program. FIDI Movers are held to a host of established quality standards in addition to PCG, from customer responsiveness to rigorous anti-bribery and anti-trust policies, and financial stability and soundness.

Choose Carefully

For added assurance with moving internationally, in addition to looking for a PCG mover, ensure that your mover is also a member of FIDI, which provides the additional assurance of compliance to the FAIM quality standard, affecting every aspect of global relocation.
