Off-road bicycling, often referred to as “mountain biking,” is as fun and exciting as it is challenging and strenuous. It’s just you and your bike, taking on a variety of natural obstacles and terrain: Rocks and dirt. Uphills and downhills. Streams and gulleys. Even the occasional “critter” or two. You can ride through all this and more right here, within the Parks of Aledo.
Our off-road bicycle single track boasts over 6 miles of twists and turns through scenic, rugged Texas landscape. Get up off your saddle and attack whatever the track throws at you. Or sit back and chill, and roll through the natural beauty at a more relaxed pace. Whatever riding style suits you, you’ll find it rewarded here.
Of course, you’ll want to gear up accordingly, because Texas terrain can be somewhat unforgiving. But once you’re ready, there’s no telling what you might find around that next corner. It’s a biking adventure like no other, located just outside the front doors of the Parks of Aledo.
Bearcat Park is located on FM5 beside McAnally Intermediate School at the southern boundary of Aledo.
Bearcat Park features a large playground, covered pavilion with picnic tables, soccer field, and green space. The pavilion is open for public use, may not be reserved, and is on a "first come, first served" basis.
