This October, Nelson Westerberg was honored with the 2022 Own It! Award at the Global Partner Alliance Summit in Omaha, Nebraska. With this award, NEI Global Relocation recognized Nelson Westerberg as one of its top service providers of the year.

With offices in the United States, Singapore, and Switzerland, NEI Global Relocation helps companies transfer their businesses and employees internationally. Since 1985, NEI has helped clients in over 125 countries.

Global relocation frequently presents companies with numerous challenges. For example, maintaining production and distribution schedules can be difficult when moving business internationally. In addition, moves are further complicated when employees and their families are also relocating.

Finally, moving internationally during a global pandemic has presented additional challenges.

To keep things running smoothly, NEI has built a network of freight and shipping partners to deliver quality, timely service. The Own It! Awards recognize the service partners who deliver practical solutions for NEI clients each year.

This year, NEI recognized Nelson Westerberg as a partner that consistently exhibits these standards.

Awarded for Excellence in Short-Notice Moves

One challenge that occurs in international relocation is having to complete a complex move in a short amount of time. These so called “short-notice moves” can be made even more difficult when taking place in remote areas with limited infrastructure access.

NEI honored service partner Nelson Westerberg for their work in organizing and executing forty of these short-notice moves in 2022. These moves included transporting shipments ranging from 2,000 to 40,000 pounds.

In addition, many of these shipments included pickup and delivery in remote parts of North America. Nelson Westerberg conducted short notice moves in areas including Fort Saint John, British Columbia; Point Roberts, Washington; and Kalispel, Montana.

Finally, many of these moves were completed in less than a week after the initial contact to NEI. To do these short-notice moves well requires planning, attention to detail, and effective communication.
