Round Rock sits immediately north of Austin and has grown into one of the metro's most desirable suburbs, anchored by Dell Technologies' global headquarters and the access it offers to the entire Austin job market. Nelson Westerberg handles Round Rock moves constantly, and we understand the city's logistics — from the master-planned communities that define its neighborhoods to the I-35 corridor congestion that shapes routing and timing.

What Round Rock Moves Actually Involve

Round Rock is built largely around master-planned communities — Teravista, Walsh Ranch, Behrens Ranch, Paloma Lake, Forest Creek, and many others — each with its own amenities, HOA protocols, and access rules. Homes range from accessible family neighborhoods to higher-end golf-course and lake communities, which means different equipment and planning across the city. The older established areas around Old Town Round Rock and Brushy Creek add character homes with their own access considerations.

The Dell factor and the broader Austin job market drive a steady stream of corporate and technology relocations. Many Round Rock moves are tied to Dell or to the wider Austin tech sector — Tesla, Apple, Oracle, Samsung's nearby semiconductor investment — and are frequently coordinated through corporate relocation programs and RMCs. Nelson Westerberg works with these programs and with transferees directly.

Local Knowledge That Matters

  • HOA and master-planned community procedures: Round Rock's communities — Teravista, Behrens Ranch, Paloma Lake, Forest Creek, and others — enforce move-in protocols including approved hours, driveway and street protection, and access scheduling. We confirm each community's requirements before move day.
  • Corporate & tech relocation coordination: We work with the relocation programs and RMCs serving Dell and the broader Austin technology sector, as well as directly with transferees, managing documentation, timelines, and reporting.
  • I-35 corridor routing: I-35 between Round Rock and Austin is among the most congested corridors in Texas. We route moves using the SH-130 and SH-45 toll roads and time departures to avoid the worst congestion, building contingency time into every estimate.
  • COI requirements: Managed and high-rise buildings in the Austin metro require a Certificate of Insurance — typically an ACORD 25 with at least $1 million per occurrence, building named as additional insured. We provide COIs at no charge and handle building coordination.
  • Summer heat planning: Central Texas summers regularly exceed 100 degrees, a direct risk to wood furniture, electronics, leather, and artwork. Our crews start early and use heat-aware wrapping and rapid load-to-transport workflows to minimize exposure.

Very Professional

Their movers are very professional, and all their support staff are very good on coordinating the moves to ensure all parties are on the same schedule. With my furniture being temporary stored for few months and there were damages to some of the furniture, they were very efficient to provide compensation for the damaged items. I particularly like their web-based claim filing system, very user friendly.
