What Items Cannot Be Moved by Movers?

For safety and legal reasons, that there are many items that moving companies will not move. For example, fireworks, chemicals, and loaded weapons are all items that cannot legally be transported by movers.

In addition, movers can’t transport any living plant or animal inside of a moving vehicle. Produce, groceries, and pets are examples of items that cannot be packed for transport. Finally, know that “will not move” lists vary by company. For example, some companies won’t move high-value items, like jewelry or collectibles. Always check with your moving company for a full list of prohibited items.
